A Closer Look Into My Life | Q&A

1. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

-I hate that I’m so emotional. I wear my emotions on my sleeves, and I care A LOT about everything. Big or small. I do think that I’m a very strong person when I need to be or have to be, but I’m definitely pretty emotional overall. It’s gotten better over the years.

2. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

-Florida! I’ve always wanted to live there. My boyfriend said the same, so we’ll just have to see what the future holds.

3. Are you happy in your relationship?

-I honestly am. I haven’t been this content with someone in a long time. It’s so refreshing, and I’m enjoying it every day.

4. What do you enjoy most about life?

-I enjoy spending time with my loved ones and creating new memories. To me, there’s nothing more special than making memories with the people I love and holding on to those memories forever.

5. What’s one thing you want to accomplish before you leave this world?

-I really want to make a difference in any way that I can. I would love to start some sort of foundation for children and adults in need. Just being able to help people- even just one person would make me so incredibly happy.

6. What’s your biggest regret?

-My biggest regret (and I talk about this all the time) is being so closed off over the years. I never really put myself out there to make friends when I was in high school and especially college. I always just had one or two go-to friends. I do wish I would’ve given myself a chance to meet more people over the years. I’m at the age now where I yearn to have good people around me, and it’s just not as easy as it used to be to make friends because a lot of people are already set in their friend groups. If I could go back, I would definitely do a lot of things differently when it comes to friendships and even relationships. I think I gave a lot of the wrong people chances over the years- the few people I did engage with. I’m hoping it’s not too late for me. I’m still young and hopefully still have time to meet some amazing people.

7. Do you love your job?

-Honestly, I don’t. It pays the bills, but it’s definitely not my dream job or a job that I can see myself doing long term.

8. How many relationships have you been in?

-Serious relationships?…only like maybe 3 or 4. The rest were either really short, pointless, or didn’t go anywhere at all.

9. How old do you think you’ll be when you get married?

-Well, I would like to be married by 27 or 28 because I want to have kids by age 30. We’ll see how well that works out. Lol.

10. If you could give your younger self any advice, what would it be?

-“Girllll, be yourself! The people who are meant to be in your life will love YOU for YOU. You’ll see once you’re older.”

11. What aspects of your life needs tremendous improvement?

-Finances!!! I’m really working hard to save and budget more. Especially since I’m at the point now where I want to get married and start a family.

12. What’s been the hardest thing for you to face or learn?

-Over the years, I’ve had to learn the hard way that just because you love someone and just because they love you doesn’t mean they’re meant to be apart of your life or journey- whether it’s friends, family, or someone you’ve been in a relationship with. I’ve learned to let people go- no matter how much I may love or care about them- if they’re not right for me.

13. What is at the top of your bucket list?

-Flying!!! I’m 25, and I’ve never been on an airplane. I’m afraid of heights, so it’s going to be a huge challenge. Lol.

14. What is something that most people don’t know about you?

-I’m terrified to speak in public. I have a full blown panic attack and start shaking. My mind goes blank. It’s awful. I guess I just don’t like that kind of attention. I’m an introvert, so I like to be off in the background and not seen most times, so speaking in public is never something I’m excited about.

15. What takes the biggest chunk of your paycheck?

-Honestly…FOOD! I spend so much money on fast food and just eating out period that it’s ridiculous. Lol. I think part of the reason is because I can’t cook, so I rely on fast food/restaurants a lot. I think that’ll change once I get more experience in the kitchen.

16. What would you name your daughter if you had one?

-I’m not sure. I really love the name Jade though. It’s super cute to me.

17. What would you name your son if you had one?

-My boyfriend and I joke about having a son all the time, and somehow we agreed on this one name that I don’t want to give away at the moment because I feel in my gut that it’s official if we do have a son. Sooo… maybe I’ll be sharing it one day in the near future 🙂

18. When did you suffer your first heartbreak?

-When I was in high school. It was hard to get through, but it did get better with time. My advice to anyone going through a heartbreak- allow yourself to go through those emotions. Don’t run from or try to hide the pain because you’ll learn so much from it and grow so much. There will come a time when you’ll think back to that moment and probably laugh because you’ll realize that it’s not the end of the world like you thought. Trust me. Life goes on, and like they say, it probably won’t be the last time. Just saying…

19. Would you rather always be overdressed or underdressed?

-Overdressed of course! Y’all know I love a good fashion moment 🙂

20. What scares you about aging?

-Not accomplishing all the goals I want to accomplish by a certain age. When I’m older, I want to be able to say that I was able to do all the things my heart desires.

Your questions 11 & 12 resonated with me so many. I also struggle with budgeting being a college student and not taking out any loans yet. As far as 12. goes letting go as also been a huge issue of mine. I’m a pretty picky girl so it takes me a long time to open up to someone. I’ve been with my boyfriend 5 months now and I dont want to ever have to think of ‘letting go of him. Not the longest relationship I’ve ever been in but by far the strongest feelings. Letting go of things in the past who I thought maybe benefitted me, also turned out to be the right choices that I needed but just couldn’t see at the time. Loveeeee this Blog 💓
